Welcome to the USS Rapier

Welcome to the USS Rapier. A Sabre Class vessel in the Obsidian Fleet in Task Force 47: Group B, The Minutemen!

The year is 2386, the Dominion war is past, the Federation strives to move on to their goals of exploration and discovery. As a frigate vessel, Rapier is agile, sturdy, relatively fast and, when push comes to shove, can shove right back. The idea, according to the fleet’s leading strategists of the time, was to quickly produce a large number of small and reliable ships that packed a powerful punch. Built using the same advanced technologies as the Galaxy, New Orleans and Akira, the Sabre was a success from the outset...

Our namesake, Rapier, is a double-edged sword used for slashing and cutting. With a name like that, imagine all the adventures that can be had! Scouting, exploring, escorting, intelligence...just to name a few of the imaginative possibilities for our plots. This Sim is rated 18+. You must be 18 years of age or older to join. More Changes!

Well, as some of you may have noticed, LtCmdr Shinan Gen has been made an NPC. That is because he has decided to swap out characters. Please welcome Lt Song Li as our new CFCO!

Also, as you will see in an upcoming post, Alex is moving Jake to medical on a whim. Therefore, we will be getting a new Chief of Operations as well. Soooo...please also welcome LtJg Patrick Shark in that position!

Lastly, I do believe that within the next week or so, we should be seeing our very own Lt Lynnea Nashira return from her ELOA as I recently received confirmation that she is, indeed, back from her tour of duty and should be returning to our sim in short order.

Let's give everyone a warm welcome (or welcome back!) as we slowly begin to make our way into our next plot. Keep an eye out: by this time next week, we should be getting our new orders!

Lt Jevrin, who was going to be our new chief strat ops, has decided to take chief intel instead. A JP will be going out to make the change (should be rather comical, really) ICly but wanted to give everyone a heads up that it was about to happen! That post should also have a bit of info on Hunter's 'disappearance', I hope...so stay tuned!

It is with sadness that I announce that Lt. Hunter's player has decided to retire from the sim for the time being as her RL obligations are showing no sign of letting up any time soon. Hopefully when things settle for her, we'll see her back in a new and better than ever role that will allow her to participate with us fully and enjoy the game once more! Until then, we bid her farewell and good luck with all...
